With the update of the PCI DSS standard from v3.2.1 to v4.0 carried out by the PCI SSC, various applicable controls were introduced as best practices until March 31, 2025.
After that date, the affected controls will be mandatory and, therefore, assessed during a PCI DSS assessment.
