Description
The domain alertswp.aol.com contained a path traversal vulnerability that allowed unauthenticated access to the remote file system. Attackers could access files and directories stored outside the web root folder by manipulating file references with "../" sequences or absolute paths.
Business impact
Attackers could access files and directories outside the web root directory, potentially exposing application source code, configuration files, and critical system files.
