The latest version of ISO/IEC 27001, published on October 25, 2022, gives organizations a 3-year transition period to adapt and certify their systems to the new standard.
This new update is the result of the increasing digitalization of companies across various sectors, for which this standard has been taken as the main basis for IT security, in addition to:
-
New security risks.
-
Changes regarding documentation for personal data protection since 2013.
- The update of the ISO/IEC 27002 standard to its 2022 version, from which ISO 27001 uses controls for its Annex A.
