27/2/2004 - In IGC 2004, in its sixth edition, we will speak about Computer Forensics and Voice over IP security
Last year, the committee of selection of papers of the IGC 2003, after crowded "Call for Papers" chose our presentation on "Security in New Technologies: Security in Wireless Networks 802.11", to take part in the congress, which year after year, is more popular and recognized.
This year, Internet Society (ISOC), the institution founded by the creative investigators of Internet for an igalitarian development of the Net, has decided to add its annual congress, one of the most prestigious of the world, to IGC's organization 2004. The joint celebration of both events will assemble to the international elite of Internet in Barcelona from May 10 to May 14 and will be converted into the most important appointment of 2004 for the sector. IGC/INET 2004 pretends to congregate in the "Palau de Congresos" of the "Fira de Barcelona" to more than 2.500 professionals proceeding from all 80 countries that count with associations affiliated to the ISOC, as well as leaders political and technological, expert in business and technology, strategists of the Society of the Information and great quantity of international specializing press. In whole, they will be more than 120 hours of conferences, constructed in four thematic areas: Managerial Strategies, Technology, Entertainment and Society. Besides, there has been introduced a fifth area dedicated to special meetings ("Special Requests"). The event will rely on the presence of recognized "Gurus" in the business and the technology and it will be as platform of analysis of new trends, practical cases and managerial experiences tied to the digital innovation.
Since could not be of another form, Internet Security Auditors wanted to return to take part in so important event celebrated in Barcelona. And the committee IGC/ISOC, has rewarded us with the selection of two of our papers presented to the "Call for Papers". One of them, again, to speak about "Security in New Technologies", in this case "Security in Voice over IP (VoIP)"; and besides, they have granted to us a special session ("Special Request") to our paper on " "Computer Forensics: recovery of the digital evidence".
