BSI is the organization that created some norms that have adapted arround the world, like norm BS 7799-1 that was adopted as the ISO/IEC 17799:2005 that defines the standard of "Good Practices" in Security; the norm BS 7799-2:2002 of the one that the ISO/IEC arose 27001:2005, that defines the System Management of Security Information; and Recent BS 7799-3 that will be incorporated to the series 27000 of the norms ISO/IEC and determines the Risks Managements.
